C04S09 The evil of the Daleks
Synopsis
The TARDIS has been stolen from Gatwick Airport in 1966; the Doctor and Jamie are forced into following a trail of clues which in turn lead them to a London antiques shop, and then into a trap laid by the Doctor's oldest and deadliest adversaries.
Transported back in time to 1866 by scientists Edward Waterfield and Theodore Maxtible, the Doctor discovers that the Daleks hold Waterfield's daughter Victoria prisoner, and Jamie is manipulated into making a rescue bid with the Daleks examining his reactions. The Daleks seek "the human factor", however, the Doctor fears that if the Daleks uncover this, then nothing will stop their ruthless ambitions...
Cover notes
The TARDIS has been stolen. Marooned on Earth in the year 1966, the Doctor and Jamie set out to find the missing time-machine. Their investigations bring them to a mysterious London antiques shop, where all the antiques all seem to be brand new.
Kidnapped by the antique shop's owner, the Doctor is then brought face to face with a very old enemy - the Daleks. Working from a house in Victorian England, the Daleks have a new masterplan to conquer the universe. And in order to carry it out, they need the Doctor's help.

Commentary
The idea for the origin of "The cult of Skaro" start here with the naming of Daleks by none other than the Doctor himself.
